Broken Dreams 3

One of five old pieces of artwork from my high school days. This is an unfinished project from my art class back in high school. The assignment was to take a picture of our choosing and 'modernize' it. Basically paint what you think it'd look like now. I chose to do a modernization of a beautiful forest. In my mind, I imagined the forest would be a barren, dingy land. All the trees were cut down to make room for the factory in the back, which spewed out toxic fumes and polluted the creek nearby. All the animals have either died or been driven out to survive. I'd say it's pretty accurate.

Back then, my dream was to make amazing paintings and 'sculptures' like this. But that's all it was....a dream....now a broken dream.
